“DLSZ Vermosa Campus make modern educational facilities and methods accessible to families living in Cavite.”
The Philippines’ most trusted real estate developer, Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and educational partner, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ), held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new DLSZ-Vermosa campus which is set to open in 2017.
The milestone event at the 700-hectare Vermosa estate in Imus, Cavite was led by ALI CEO and president, Bernard Vincent Dy; ALI senior vice president and Strategic Landbank Management Group head, Anna Ma. Margarita Dy; and DLSZ president, Br. Bernard Oca, FSC, together with members of the DLSZ Board of Trustees, President’s Council and Operations Council, and the Parents’ Association.
As project partners, ALI and DLSZ hope to continue to heed the call of modern day learners by establishing a new campus in an environment fit to promote world-class, learner-centric education for secondary students. Set in ALI’s fourth largest estate development with facilities that will provide its future dwellers an integrated, mixed-use town core catering to their daily needs, Vermosa propels learning to another level.
DLSU-Vermosa: Making education accessible
“We are pleased to have a De La Salle Zobel school inside Vermosa. This will make modern educational facilities and methods accessible to families living in Cavite. The campus complements the estate’s diverse residential and commercial offerings and is an important part of a greater vision to build sustainable communities and enrich lives,” said ALI CEO and president, Bernard Vincent Dy.
Vermosa will offer a wide-range of residential and retail options, offices, institutional developments, and entertainment areas that are seamlessly integrated by generous open spaces to encourage social interaction.
A Unique Educational Offering
In addition to the estate’s sustainable and pedestrian-centric design, DLSZ-Vermosa will house three primary school zones—Academic, Sports, and Cultural. Within the zones, different modern facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, and faculty centers will be constructed. Inside the Academic Zone are the administration building, middle (junior) and senior high school halls, and the Spark Building. A premium sports complex—with a FIFA-certified track oval and football field—together with a performing arts theatre, among others, will put DLSZ-Vermosa on the radar of potential residents aspiring for a well-balanced family life and a top-notch educational institution.
A unique feature of the estate will be the Vermosa Sports & Lifestyle Complex that will have an Olympic-size swimming pool, oval track, motocross track, bike trail, and the Philippines’ first Sports Science Laboratory that can serve as a training facility to DLSZ’s athletes.
Apart from offering DLSZ’s existing student programs in academics, science and technology, sports, arts, and music, the new Vermosa campus is also envisioned to pioneer the incorporation of technology within classroom teaching. It will introduce the concept of “next generation blended learning (NxtGBL)—a breakthrough in the Philippine educational system.
The DLSZ-Vermosa campus is set to open its doors to Grades 11 and 12 by 2017.
